Should you tell a relative they're too fat?

I am of the opinion that it is good to tell a relative that they are too fat. It is important to tell the truth to ones relative but in love. Showing love to ones relative also includes correcting them when they are going on the path that leads to pain, sorrow, devastation and ultimately death. They probably know that they are too fat. Comments and hurtful glances from people would have sunk the fact that they are fat into them. Ignoring them in order to avoid hurting them more is certainly not a sign that you care or that you understand how they feel.
